To me, a camera is more than just a technical device; it is a powerful political tool and a means of expressing philosophical ideas. Through my lens, I aim to communicate what words cannot; capturing the beauty I've witnessed and exposing realities I cannot bear to see. In this process, my camera has become an instrument for observing, questioning, and exploring my own standpoint and values, pushing me to engage with the world in a deeper and more meaningful way.

The collection of photographs on this website are therefore an account of my story on five continents and the layers of my life influenced by a revolution, war and forced displacement.

Overwhelmed by the horrors of war, I underwent a transformation, dedicating myself to advocating for peace. Along this path, I found refuge in the camera, which served not only as my armor but also as my means of bearing witness, capturing the truth, and inspiring positive change.

I have become who I am because of the people that have come my way and the places I have travelled to.

I do not have a specific place that I call home although I hold three citizenships. Instead, I feel most at home when I am on the road. In my heart I am a wandering soul and a free spirit with people at the heart and centre of my journey and the greatest joy of my life.

Over the years, I have travelled widely around the world, but I am especially fascinated by the Pacific Islands and the diverse indigenous peoples of the Pacific, the absolute beauty of the Pacific Ocean and the unique and captivating ways of life on remote islands.

I am passionate about life and continue to aspire and to see the world from as many perspectives as possible. With a keen awareness and reverence for human dignity, I use photography as a meditation tool to improve self, my community and to inspire positive change.

A stranger once told me to follow my heart but to use my mind. I did take her advice and I can say that I have lived a beautiful life; full of love, layered with adventure, and it continues to unravel in unique and unusual ways.

The camera is my favorite political tool and my preferred instrument of philosophy and expression. In the camera, science and philosophy merge and develop into one.

Camera’s precision, its scientific body, its adventuring spirit and philosophical gaze allows us to speak our mind and heart. It is where light meets shadow, and where they question the other.

Through the lens of the camera, life is captured and made eternal. The camera has the power to manufacture ‘truth’. With the camera, we share our reality and our individual perspective. In this way, the camera has become a truth-telling machine. Even the proof of our existence depends on a photograph as no passport is valid without a photo.

Art and especially photographs have the power to make us think. Photographs can influence and shape our perception, affect the way we see the world, and shift our paradigm. With the camera, we can see the prominence of the theory of relativity, the infinity of viewpoints, the value of perspective, and the diverse angles from which we can each see the world.
